This is a superb quality antique Arts & Crafts 3ft 10” oak settle bench, circa 1920.

This is a superb quality antique Arts & Crafts 3ft 10” oak settle bench, circa 1920. The settle boasts down swept shaped oak arms with carved knuckles. The back consists of a carved top rail below there are four inset linen-fold panels. The down swept arms terminate with carved knuckles. The seat consists of three inset panels. The lid is hinged with hand beaten forged hinges. Below, there is a large storage compartment. The base of the settle consists of four floral carved panels with repeating linen folded panels to the side. This settle features the original polish and patination and thus the colour of this settle is superb.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hallway, dining room or kitchen. This item would certainly grace any home and a great investment as they are an extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

The item is in very good condition and is commensurate with its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The hinges are in good working order. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
