Here we have a beautiful Art Nouveau Vase from the early part of the 20th century. The stoneware vase is baluster shaped with three raised motifs of a blue flower amidst green foliage set against a rich blue ground with a flower decorated green band around the neck.

The vase was made by Royal Doulton at their famous Lambeth factory in London and hand decorated by Lily Partington, a senior assistant at Doulton in the late 19th and early 20th century. The vase is stamped Royal Doulton, which dates it to 1902 or later and the vase was almost certainly made before the First World War as production was greatly curtailed thereafter.

Condition is very good, with no chips or cracks and remaining fully watertight. All Doulton's Lambeth Wares were hand decorated by a superb group of artists and every piece is unique. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The vase stands 21.4cm / 8.4ins high and is 11.4cm / 4.5ins in diameter at its widest point. It weighs 924g / 32.6oz.

The underside of the base has the usual range of Doulton stamps including the Royal Doulton stamp surmounted by a crown and lion and the hand inscribed L P for Lily Partington.
