An absolutely splendid French antique jewellery casket made from silver plate, retaining the original panels of cut glass.

The box stands on four highly decorative feet with a grapevine decoration and the front having the most grand escutcheon housing the working key.

The top is what makes this box a true gem, beautifully enamelled in a true Art Nouveau design, each corner finished with an enamelled Fleur de Lys motif.

The box opens to reveal a professionally re-lined base with a plush velvet creating a clean and very usable casket.

Dating to around 1900/1910, the box remains in superb condition. 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" x 4" tall.
