A very stylish Art Deco 1920s synthetic ruby and diamond bar brooch.

The bar measures 73.25mm x 8.12mm and has a "C" catch with safety fitting.

Its elegant tapering design is the epitome of jewellery of the era when it was quite the thing to mix the relatively newly introduced synthetic gems with genuine diamonds.

This piece features an unusual curving sugar-loaf like cut to the top, whilst having emerald cut faceting to the reverse.

The brooch is unmarked but has been tested and results indicate high carat gold.

The item is perfect for someone looking for a flavour of past sophistication in early/mid 20th century jewellery design.
