A very stylish Art Deco oak bureau with bookcase sides dating from circa 1935. With 3 drawers below a fall front and standing on carved ogee feet. The fall front drops down on arms to reveal pigeon holes and a small drawer to the interior. It is in solid oak, with a small gallery top, the bureau locks and comes with a working key. A good quality piece in lovely figured solid oak with makers label to back: “CWS cabinet works Broughton”. It is signed in pencil underneath the middle drawer and dated 18/4/34.

Solid and sturdy. Marks and wear commensurate with age. Good colour and patina. Some marks near to bottom of middle drawer.
