Art Deco Dining Suite
A unique dining suite made by Hillie in the 1930s, comprising a large table with 12 chairs and 2 sideboards. The chairs all have armrests, there are 2 "carvers" which are slightly larger than the other chairs.
This suite was made as a commission for a family of jewellers. There is a "B" monogram on each of the chairs and on a corner of the table.
There is a mixture of woods predominantly sycamore.
The table has been restored and the table top is detatchable from its base.
The chairs are presently upholstered with white calico. The backrests are upholstered on the front and back.We can arrange for them to be recovered, the purchasor would have to pay for the material of their choice.The carving chairs are 137cm high and 54cm deep.
The sideboards have brass escutchions and pendant handles.
There are 4 curved fronted draws in each sideboard.The sideboards are 108cm wide,85cm high and 63cm deep.
