An unusual and complete chinoiserie black ground cocktail cabinet with raised, painted and gilded decoration. The lid lifts and the tray protrudes to reveal a black lacquer and mirrored interior fitted with 2 decanters, a silver plated lemon squeezer, 8 cocktail sticks and 19 wine, sherry and brandy glasses. Below is a secret sprung drawer and the 2 door cupboard opens to a shelved interior for the storage of bottles. The cabinet bears the maker’s label for “Gooch’s , 53 - 77 Brompton Road, London.
