Attractive Serpentine Edge Table - Two Tier - c1890

This Victorian mahogany table is a lovely size and very versatile.

The table is presented in excellent order throughout save for a couple of nicked corners an example of which can be seen in images.

The table top rides upon a pleasing base with under-tier. Four cabriole legs, with lovely hand carved detail to the upper, support the serpentine edged table top. These are united by the under-tier shelf which forms a cross-stretcher and provides solidity to the piece. The under-tier shelf design matches that of the top displaying superb edge moulding and lovely colour.

Overall this piece of antique furniture is in very good condition with the mahogany grain displaying great depth of tone throughout. The table is well constructed and solid. An excellent and interesting piece with great scope to use as a display or lamp table.
