Antique Welsh Country Clun Carver Chair
A beautiful Welsh country Clun carver chair.
The Clun forest was a chair making area fir hundreds of years in the south Shropshire hills.
This stunningly aged carver chair is made of Ash and Elm and has the most wonderful curve in both arms and back.
There are two very old repairs which actually enhance it's value as they are so well done and have aged into the wood.
The whole chair has a fantastic patina and is a truly beautiful example of this very hard to find piece.
These do not come on to the market often.
Size 52 cm wide x 79 cm high (back)
All joints are sound and secure
Dating to around 1840
