A fantastic original Victorian mahogany open bookcase. This dates from around the 1860-1880 period.

It is of amazing quality and is a very useful size. This is made from solid and veneered mahogany, it has five adjustable shelves with shark teeth supports. The overhanging cornice is finely moulded, and this sits on a plinth base. The side edges and front of the shelves are grooved, giving this an even more refined look.

We have just had this re-polished, it is in great overall condition for its age. It’s full of character, the colour is gorgeous and this retains a lovely patina.
