This antique Victorian reading table stand was made by the top Victorian makers John Carter. See the lovely label on the back. Each section is fully adjustable & there is a tilt facility for the top reading section. The metal is very decorative & is made up from cast iron & brass. The two wooden sections are solid mahogany & have just been polished. This stand is in excellent condition & dates from around the 1860-80 period. We sold one of these a little while ago, however this model is far superior in quality & design.
