An amazing original antique bentwood hat stand. This was made in central Europe, most likely by Thonet in Austria around the 1890-1910 period.

It is a fantastic model, with a very wide and beautifully curvaceous base. It has eight beautifully curved supports on the top for coats and hats, the base is designed to support umbrellas and walking sticks.

We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent overall condition for its age, with a beautiful light colour tone. There is just some minor wear beneath the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
