This is an antique umbrella or stick stand dating to the Victorian era, c.1850.
The beautifully aged patina is a real charm in this vernacular piece that stands testament to the quality of craftsmanship of Victorian artisans.
Iron bound and hand riveted, the oak remains soundly in place by the coopered construction on this tapering barrel which features a clever two part drip tray in the bottom for ease of removal.
