Antique Set of 12 Quality Mahogany Dining Chairs
A superb set of twelve antique mahogany dining chairs comprising ten single chairs and two carvers, crafted in the classic Chippendale style with elegant ladder backs.
Each chair features a beautifully shaped back with a series of carved horizontal ladder rails, each centred with a decorative pierced oval motif. The gently curved top rail is finished with a carved central cartouche, creating a striking and elegant silhouette typical of Chippendale inspired designs.
The chairs stand on square tapering legs joined by stretchers, providing excellent strength and stability while maintaining graceful proportions. The two carver chairs are fitted with shaped arms featuring subtle reeded detailing, offering additional comfort while complementing the design of the single chairs.
The seats have been upholstered in an attractive neutral herringbone fabric which works beautifully with the rich warm tone of the mahogany and allows the set to suit both traditional and contemporary interiors.
This is a particularly impressive and practical set, ideal for use with a large dining table and offering both comfort and timeless antique style.
Condition Report:
The chairs are presented in very good antique condition with light age-related wear consistent with normal use. The frames are solid and sturdy throughout and they are newly upholstered.
