A wonderful set of eight mahogany dining chairs. This set of 8 Georgian 19th century Chippendale hepplewhite type dining chairs are a 6+2 set having two carvers and six single chairs. This highly sought after design has the more comfortable generous sized saddle shaped seat which has been re-webbed , re-stuffed and covered in a good quality linen. The chairs have a lovely triple crown shaped top with a pierced splat and carved anthemion design. The whole are raised on tapered, reeded and fluted front legs with a spade foot and all united by a h-shaped stretcher for added strength. This set of Sheraton regency revival Edwardian dining chairs have been restored by qualified professional restorers so all the joints are structurally sound and the whole polished to a rich mahogany colour and are ready to place in your home. Circa 1910. Measure 20-16” w x 17”d x 38”h. Excellent condition.
