Beautifully hand crafted Victorian poker-work milking stool ,cheese top raised on three turned legs. The concave dish seat is adorned with Scottish thistle and leaves. The motto 'Touch Me Wha Daur' translates as 'Touch me who dares'.Circa 1870.
Dimensions are height 32.5cm, seat 29cm in diameter and width at feet 35cm. Makers mark to base, WCM (WC Martin) of Dundee. In excellent condition. Not all stock is located at our shop premises so please contact us before visiting if you wish to see specific items. We will make a full refund of the purchase price (excluding any delivery costs) if you are not fully satisfied with your online purchase. At present we ship only to mainland UK but customers are of course able to make their own arrangements for pick up by international couriers .
