This is a lovely and unusual piece raised on scrolled cushion feet with Lancashire or Yorkshire Roses to carved to the front.  It is clearly an estate piece and made for a specific room as it has linen slides inside.  The front top and back are all fiddle back mahogany or curl mahogany for its correct name.  Each side has a Corinthian Pilaster with the main doors each having scrolls and fan carving.  There are two linen slides which can be set at varying heights.  The drawers have scoops under the middle so as to be a lovely stripped back simple and elegant design.  The top and lower carving is both wonderful gadrooning.  The main back has double turned supports to each side with an upper shelf and again fiddle back mahogany to the back.  There has been some previous minor damage to the door veneer which doesnt detract.
