Antique Regency Gilt Gesso Over mantle Mirror, Fitted Bevelled Glass Plate c1830

This is an antique, Regency, gilt gesso over mantle mirror dating to c.1830.

The modest, elegant form of the gilt gesso, moulded frame is beautifully decorated with floral motifs to the corners and plinthed verticals.

The arch top frame has been later fitted with a fully bevelled mirror plate in very good condition. The back still carrying much of the original pine backing boards.

A fine over mantle in good antique condition, complete with mirror hooks ready to hang.
