This is a set of 3 antique quarter plate film holders. An English, mahogany double dark photographic slide, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
A fascinating set of early photographic slides
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Select stocks present fine grain interest and rich russet hues
Brass latches and clasps show subtle golden tones
Ebonised interior, with thin metal plate for holding the film stock in place
Accepts 'quarter plate' film plates of 3.25" x 4.25"
Numbered sides set within circular emblems
Untested for light seal, but superb decorative interest - compatible plate camera unknown
