This superb pottery vase is lavishly decorated in tones of orange and grey with gilt highlights. We believe it to be of Japanese origin and it has character marks to the base. We would estimate it to date from the early part of the twentieth century. The vase has a fluted shaped top and a bulbous base. It is hand-painted with flowers, birds and butterflies and is nicely done.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. There are some manufacturing imperfections as might be expected. The piece is overall grubby and has some surface scratching and wear in places. There are no chips or cracks that we can see.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
