Lovely antique mahogany wind out dining table. We date this table to the early 20th century.

The table sits on four downward tapered square section legs with a carved decoration on the two outer edges. They sit above recessed ceramic castors.

There are stamps for ‘Maple & Co’ on the table runner and on the underside of the leaves.

The main table consists of two large panels with serpentine edges to the longer sides, the shorter sides are straight with canted corners. The sides of the top panels have a lovely carved design. The table is fitted with a winding mechanism (winder supplied) which parts the main leaves and allows the two extension leaves to be inserted.

When fully closed the table has a height of 30.5" (77cm), a length of 53.5" (136cm) and a width of 48" (122cm). The table's extended length is 95” (241cm).

This lovely dining table remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor marks, indented lines, minor scratches on the table top and some minor wear to some of the edges. The table top has some very minor mellowing, the leaves are slightly darker with having had less use.

This remains a very stylish and elegant dining table which will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
