An exquisitely beautiful antique fully hallmarked gold heart locket. This superb Edwardian gold piece was assayed at Chester in 1908. Unlike many lockets which are the 'gold front and back' or 'rolled gold' types this piece is solid gold. The maker's mark is M & G into three conjoined circles. The Ornate engravings adorn the exterior case. The original frames, Celluloid picture protectors and even the original faded photographs are still in place. The photographs are of two young men of a similar age and so this locket probably belonged to their mother. The locket shuts firmly and works perfectly. No dings or damage. We have included a 20 inch necklace so that you can wear your purchase straight away.

Locket height (including hanging ring) 2.6 cm x 1.9 cm width. Weight 1.7 grams. The necklace measures 20 inches (50 cm) long
