ANTIQUE GILLOWS CHEST OF DRAWERS IN ASH c1860-80 Antique furniture antique chest of drawers gillow %%alt5%%
Antique Gillows solid Ash Arts & Crafts chest of two over three drawers c1860-80

This is a solid Ash Gillow chest of two over three drawers. The top is extended to compensate for skirting boards so it reaches the wall. The moulding to the top is a thumb nail or bull nose if your an engineer. It has graduated drawers and is surmounted on a plinth base. It is a wonderful piece and a great investment as well as being stylish. It is also very solid and heavy and does not suffer from the fear of being blown over in a gust of wind. A great thing alround marked to the top right drawer, sadly the original key is missing. The base of the upper left drawer is marked with a previous owners details that of "James H, Bond, Lancaster 1869" II have not tried to research this person for the obvious reasons.
