Antique French Oak Coffer
This Coffer was found in the depths of France. It is made from thick Oak timber with dovetail joints. The gothic carving on the front is not applied, it is carved out of the Oak itself. The lock and timber is from the 17th century but the feet are a later addition. There has been some rot over the years to the underside that has been treated and sealed, making it good for use for the next 100 years.
