An unusual and good quality 19th.C. miniature French breakfront and inlaid commode or chest. The original variegated coloured marble top of breakfront form with canted corners. Below are 2 oak lined and dovetailed drawers inlaid with rosewood mahogany, fruit wood and boxwood and ebony chevron inlay with original gilded ring handles. The canted stiles having gilded harebells and flower head mounts above fluted columns. The sides with conforming chevron inlay, the whole raised on short cabriole legs. Condition- Very good with minor old repairs to the marble. An unusual item for collectors of miniature or apprentice antique furniture. Dimensions:- Height...8.75''/ 22cm. Width...10.75''/ 27cm.
