Antique French louis xv style double bed
Lovely original French walnut louis xv style double bed in great condition, circa 1920
Very decorative bed and rich in colour too, fantastic carving and decorated with the quarter veneer pattern to the head and footboard panels.
The bed has its original shaped side rails connecting the headboard to the footboard panel - you can use a slatted base, or II can offer you a slim box base if required ( please get in touch )
The bed is priced as a frame only, but I can help with the base options, pocket sprung mattresses too if you require a new one
The bed measures:
Headboard height 64'' / 163cm
Footboard height 36'' / 91cm
Total width 60'' / 152cm
Mattress size is a standard 4'6'' x 6'3'' double
If you wanted to collect the bed from me here in Uppingham, Rutland, that is absolutely fine, but otherwise I can arrange a delivery for you very easily...please send me your postcode, usually around £75 for something of this size Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
