A truly magnificent biscuit box or barrel, very rare to find one with this traditionally British Croquet theme.

The box is made from hand-blown glass, which has been engraved to resemble a traditional coopered wooden barrel.

Of course what makes this a highly collectible example are the silver-plated mounts. The swing handle has an integrated Croquet Mallet to each side and the top of the handle mounted with a Croquet ball.

The top of the lid has a finial created from a cast pair of Mallets, a ball under the Croquet Hoop or Wicket.

Magnificent in every way and remaining in superb condition. 10 1/2" tall to top of handle, 7 3/4" tall to top of finial the diameter measures approximately 5 1/2".
