Antique Elm Box

NATIONAL UNION OF FLOWER GIRLS.
Well you decide yourself what you think it means. A great early trunk and elm boxes like this have become so much rarer. When we first entered the trade 30 years ago they were not common but you could pick them up, these days they are alot rarer, we havnt had one in a while.
It is raised on a plinth base with quadrant moulding with dovetail joints and a simple edge piece to the top. It has the iconic handles that epitomise this period with hand made wrought iron blacksmiths hinges to the inside. A good piece. It is an elm box and you are buying its character, for its age, type of box and wood it is in good condition for a 200 year old box.
it is
24 1/2 inches wide
17 inches high
17 inches deep
