This is a wonderfully colourful cut wool picture in circular mahogany frame dating from around 1870. Depicted are white and pink rose blossoms and foliage in a wonderful deep sculptural profile.
This style of woolwork from Victorian times is very colourful and warm and this is a fine example. It is in excellent condition still retaining full strong colours to the wools and it measures 52 cms in diameter.
