A beautiful quality late Victorian biscuit box or barrel made from a hefty piece of English crystal deeply cut with a the ever popular hobnail cut, very, very tactile.

The mounts are made from EPNS (electro-plated nickel silver) with the finial gilded or gold plated.

Dating to around 1890, the box remains in superb condition The base measures 4 1/2" in diameter, the body having a maximum diameter measuring 5 1/2". Standing 5 1/2" to rim 6 1/2" to top of finial and 8" tall to top of folding handle.
