This is an antique console table from the 19th century, Scottish oak with carved decoration dating to c.1890.

A handsome console table displaying good colour throughout
Well figured with grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
The top finished with an edge moulding detail and backed with a shaped up-stand
The shaped apron mirrors the up-stand, both beautifully decorated with carved, reciprocating stylised rosettes

Raised on stout 'ball and reel' turned front legs terminating in pear feet
Typical flat back legs allow for close wall placement
Of quality craftsmanship and in good order throughout

A magnificent piece presented with solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
