Simple, elegant and tall chest of 7 graduated drawers in figured mahogany. French c 1880. This delightful chest has been well maintained and has a mellow and original finish. More frequently known as a semainier, this type of chest is ideal for small spaces and finds good use as an office cabinet or a collectors chest! The knobs are beautifully turned and are the originals. The drawers are solidly made and run smoothly with a working key included. The top and sides are in excellent condition,the back being panelled in solid oak. Seen here in top showroom condition, this most useful chest is ready for use.
