This antique burr walnut writing table is very fine quality & in excellent original condition. The burr walnut veneers are fabulous & are just as good on the back. It also has intricate carvings on all the canted corners back & front. The top edges, the middle drawer & the tops of the solid walnut legs are carved too. The writing surface is divided into three tooled leather sections which have a lovely faded look. There are original brass handles on the drawers & a lock in the middle one. This desk which is very much of the Queen Anne style has just been French polished & dates to around the 1920’s period.
