A superior 19th century burr walnut , kingwood and tulipwood gilt bronze mounted bureau plat. This serpentine shaped writing dressing table or bureau dame has excellent provenance being purchased from The Haining Castle collection. The top is inlaid with a generous interlacing band of kingwood and the moulded edge and cabriole shaped legs are cross banded in tulipwood. The whole is further embellished with boxwood inlay and gilt bronze mounts. This elegant piece of antique furniture has been fully restored by qualified professional restorers and is ready to grace any home. Circa 1860. Measures 39.5”w x 29”h x 23”d.
