This is an antique bergere sofa. An English, walnut and cane three seat settee, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Walnut frame shows superb grain interest and rich russet hues
Benefits from a recent professional upholstering
Arranged as three seats with traditionally stuffed feather cushions
Dressed in a quality biscuit coloured fabric with jacquard pattern
Each cushion removable to present the dashing caned bergere back
Wonderful Art Deco back rest with carved fan detail and figuring
Sinuous, stout arms with carved knuckles and scrolled ends
Dual layer bergere to the sides, tightly woven and free of losses
