For sale today we have this exquisite preserve/ honey pot by William Moorcroft. Very well decorated to the early Wisteria pattern (more naturalistic, with lots of foliage) and set against the seldom seen green over blue ground. Features a silver plated swing handle and lid by William Hutton and sons (carrying a made in England mark as well, indicating that this piece was made for the USA market). The pottery is stamped Moorcroft Made in England- M162 for the shape. 5 1/2" tall with handle up.
In superb condition free from any damage or repair- the silver plate is especially good with no areas rubbed as is usual for these pieces.
