A small group of ceramics designed by Albert Rutherston for the 1934 Harrods and Art in Industry exhibitions. Comprising 2 cups and saucers and a milk jug. These are not regular size tea cups but more 'dainty', probably from a batchelor or coffee set. Stunningly beautiful with a yellow starburst design and lustre scroll detail.

Cups x 2 - 5cm high
Milk Jug x 1 - 7cm high
Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, hairlines or crazing.
Albert Rutherston was a figure and landscape painter, book illustrator and designer of posters and stage sets. An example of this design is displayed in the V&A Museum.
