Made entirely of solid and light-coloured walnut, with darker, faceted handles, this sideboard combines the Cotswold School style of the Arts & Crafts movement with a touch of the Art Deco. Between two cupboards it has two drawers, the upper fitted for cutlery, and it stands on elegantly outswept legs.

Its firm attribution to Bath Cabinet Makers comes from the design number stamped on the back. It would have been designed by Charles Richter, c.1930.
