Of impressive proportions and constructed from high quality figured mahogany, this table stands on 6 reeded cabriole legs of very unusual form. The frieze is inlaid with ebony stringing and the top of the legs are decorated with ebony and boxwood reeds, to either side there is a mahogany lined drawer. The top itself is of one large piece of mahogany with a gadrooned edge. In very good condition and of good colour. 2290mm wide, 510mm deep and 950mm high. Circa 1830 W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries. Now under the stewardship of Mark and his wife, Louise, we take pride in maintaining the high standards which William set more than 50 years ago.
