An oak and brass Late Victorian Period stick stand by James Shoolbred. Having a shaped back with a brass balustrade gallery with brass turned finials, above a rectangular solid oak top. The rectangular frieze drawer with a typical aesthetic style brass handle. The sides having curved brass umbrella stands, all supported on shaped supports and united by a brass galleried under-tier with typical Shoolbred brass capped feet. In very good and original condition. 1010mm high, 1020mm wide and 340mm deep. Circa 1880 W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
