This is a very fine Georgian mahogany chest of drawers with all of its original features a brushing slide (original used by the butler to brush the gentalmen's trousers, hence the name).

The top is beautifully cross banded ,showing off the beautiful patina. The same technique is evident in the graduated drawers, which are cockbeaded with oak linings and original swan-neck handels.

The chest is framed by recessed quarter round fluted columns to either side and finisheson ogee feet.
