Here we have for sale this fine pair of quality Antique Victorian floral silver baskets in very good condition.

Basket 1
Maker: Fenton Brothers Ltd
Date Mark: 1895 (C)
Assay Mark: Sheffield
Weight: 56 grams
Basket 2
Maker: Fenton Brothers Ltd (different mark but same maker)
Date Mark: 1897 (E)
Assay Mark: Sheffield
Weight: 59 grams
The width and length of both bowls in approximately: 13cm
The Fenton Brothers namely, John Frederick Fenton and Frank Fenton, set up their business in 1875 at South Moor Works, East Street, Sheffield. The company was converted into a limited liability company in 1896 under the name Fenton Brothers Ltd. The firm were known for producing Silver and Silver Plate objects and became famous an renowned silversmiths during the Victorian era.
Condition Report
No major damage to either basket however, there are some very small dints on both baskets and the usual age related wear such as surface scratches, one basket has a slight knock to the base, but in overall excellent order for their over 120 year age, a beautiful example of quality English silver. These baskets would be the perfect Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Anniversary or Birthday present for a loved one, or just a treat for yourself.
