A pair of Staffordshire flatback curly coat dogs.
A delightful pair of red and white Staffordshire, fireside or hearth, dogs with very curly coats to both the front and the back. Made circa 1860 in one of the many potteries in Stoke on Trent. The curling of the coat is very attractive and takes this pair to above the average quality for Staffordshire flatback dogs. These are an original pair of antique dogs, not to be confused with the abundance of reproductions on the market.
These Staffordshire flatback curly dogs are increasingly difficult to find in such good condition.
I cannot find any chips or repairs, which considering their age is very good. The collar has faded which is usual on these dogs and there are only very small incidents of enamel loss, which are difficult to see..
They stand 7.25 inches or 18.5 centimeters tall.
UK tracked post and packaging costs £15.00.
