A Painted Marriage Cupboard Wardrobe dated 1804

This charming piece of Folk art comes from Eastern Europe, it is brightly painted in a somewhat naive style with flowers and is decorated with our couple’s initials M. and K and the date 1804
This very attractive piece is heavy and in good sound condition, perhaps the paint is a little shabby with age, the original lock has been replaced with a wooden knob, it has a shelf and a hanging rail inside, and has been treated for woodworm
The cupboard is 67” tall, 45” wide and 22” deep
