A Mid 19thc Ridgway orange hand painted plate.
Description.
A marvellous example the extremely high quality products produced by Ridgway during the mid-Victorian period. A beautifully painted landscape scene. Elaborate inner rim gilding and lobed design of the plate. Dramatic orange ground. Altogether a rather lovely piece.
Pattern number 6/1581, thereby confirming this to be by Ridgway.
Condition.
In excellent antique condition. No apparent defects, apart from very minor scratching of the painted scene.
Wear commensurate with age and use.
Dimensions
24cm in diameter
