For sale today we have this Large and Impressive Royal Doulton Lambeth for the Art Union of London vase by senior artist Hannah B Barlow. Of tall baluster form and with a stunningly realised central sgrafitto panel that depicts a number of horses in various poses set in a tree lined meadow setting. The borders are fairly simple swirls against a mottled blue ground meaning all of the focus is on Ms Barlow's fine handiwork!

An impressive display size at 16" tall. Marked to the base with a Royal Doulton Lion mark along with assistant mark for Joan Honey. The base of the vase looks like it has been rubbed before being fired as the Art Union of London mark is smudged and hardly discernible and Hannah's monogram is not visible. The vase will be supplied with a letter from Alexander Clement, curator of the Royal Doulton museum confirming all provenance of the vase, artist, date of manufacture etc.
