Dating to the end of the 19th century, this German solid pine wardrobe / Cupboard is in very good condition and will split down in 2 parts for ease of getting it upstairs....
Standing on turned bun feet, the wardrobe has 2 plinth drawers which are both constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and both have their original blacksmith made working locks with keys.
To the inside there is a new horizontal hanging rail fitted. This is enclosed with a pair of panel doors complete with original working lock..
This is flanked by fluted columns and carved knees.
All this is complimented with a beautiful ogee moulded cornice and raised pediment.......
This is a lovely piece of German antique furniture which would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.
There has in the past been a tiny amount of insect attack to the wardrobe but this is minimal and has been sprayed with a 20 year treatment.
The wardrobe measures
55.5 inches wide / 59 outside of cornice
23 inches deep / 25 outside of cornice / 20 inches internal
77.5 inches high.
