A lovely 17thC plank coffer
A lovely 17th century elm plank coffer of good proportions and having excellent colour and patination. The coffer has two carved panels to the front with a type of dragooned decoration. To the center of the coffer is a replacement 18th century lock.
The inside has a small till, the lid having later hinges. The one pieces sides are in excellent condition as the coffer is still very high in the stiles, the right hand stile has had a small repair at some stage. Overall condition - Excellent.
