A fine untouched Gillows Chamber table in superb original condition. The elegant iconic table stands on slender turned legs, retaining the original brass gilt castors, with reeded edge top which has a lift up compartment for writing material. The single Mahogany lined drawer retaining the original turned knob handles and lock. Superb colour, patina and condition throughout. The drawer is signed in pencil on the underside with the name James Taylor, there is a games table in Abbot Hall, Kendal by Gillow and Taylor, it is not clear whether this is the same person but we are undertaking further research. 715mm high, 735mm wide and 525mm deep. Circa 1815
