A George I walnut stool. Raise on turned legs with pad feet and a frieze of book matched figured walnut with a banded edge. The seat is in the form of a leather book is later very decorative addition. In very good condition and with a lovely colour. 560mm high, 540mm wide and 410mm deep. English. Circa 1725 W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
